Galettes with Bill the Baker at Vernon Area Public Library

Once you master the making of the galette dough you will be able to make many different galettes and take advantage of most seasonal fruits as they become available. The galette is an extremely versatile dessert because it can be made with almost any fruit; strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, apples, peaches, plums and the list goes on. The galette can also be made as a savory galette with seasonal vegetables like asparagus and assortments of cheeses. Many people are intimidated by making a galette dough (pie dough), but once you see how easy it is you gain your confidence and realize that was the missing ingredient - confidence!

The presentation will take place at Vernon Area Public Library located at 300 Olde Half Day Road Lincolnshire, Il . Reservation is required. Contact the library directly for a reservation - 847-634-3650
